Propel Hazelwood is seeking an 7/8th Grade Math Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Propel Schools operates with an extended year of 220 work days, including 190 instructional days and 30 PD days to support teachers.
The role offers a salary of $50,485-$101,454 (year 4), relocation allowance for relocation >60 miles, and comprehensive benefits including health, retirement matching, and generous leave. Teaching will align with PA Common Core Standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher required.
- PA certification in 7-8 content area preferred.
- Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
- Ability to develop rigorous lesson plans and assessments.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with administrators and staff to plan and lead students to learning success.
- Develop and teach curriculum aligned to Pennsylvania Common Core Standards.
- Design coherent instruction aligned to state standards.
- Create and update learning resources and engage in ongoing professional development.
- Maintain records and report student progress.
- Communicate with families regularly and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Uphold high expectations and foster a respectful, inclusive classroom environment.
