Job summary

Grade Potential Tutoring in Bonners Ferry, ID, seeks an experienced tutor to assist a dyslexic 6th-grade home-schooled student with math. Sessions are in-person, once a week for one hour, between 11 am and 3 pm on Thursday or Friday, at the family's home near the Kootenay River. Travel within 5–10 miles is expected.

A teaching certification is preferred; compensation ranges from $28 to $30 per hour. Applicants must be 18+; flexible scheduling and an easy-to-use platform accompany the role.

Qualifications

About the student

• The student is a6 th grade who is home schooled. She is dyslexic and has dyscalculia. Sheneeds to work with a tutor on her math skills. Currently she is about two yearsbehind in math.
  
• The goal is to improve the student's math skills.
  
• The family wants 1 hour sessions once a week between 11am-3pm on either Thursday or Friday.
  
• The familywants to meet in-person with the tutor at their home in Bonners Ferry off of the Kootenay River not far from the Eagles Nest vacation rental.
  

Requirements

REQUIRED

• You have experience teaching/tutoring.
• You are willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles).
• Due to insurance requirements, applicant must not be a minor.
  
• Tutor must be available for 1 hour sessions once a week between 11am-3pm on either Thursday or Friday.
