Job summary

Grade Potential Tutoring is seeking an in-person tutor to support a 2nd-grade student from Meadowview Elementary in Vine Grove. You will conduct two 1-hour sessions per week (Mon and Fri) after 4pm at the family’s home near Vine Grove Optimist Park, focusing on reading, writing, and math.

Ideal candidates have tutoring experience, own materials, and can travel within a 5–10 mile radius. A teaching certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience tutoring elementary students.
• Willingness to travel within a 5–10 mile radius.
• Must not be a minor due to insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home 1:1 tutoring sessions at the family’s home near Vine Grove Optimist Park.
• Adapt materials and teaching methods to the student’s needs and progress.

About the student

• The student is a 2nd grader attending Meadowview Elementary School and he needs to work with a tutor for ELA (reading and writing) and math. He is going great in school but is struggling with spelling.
  
• The goal is to help the student boost his reading and writing and math skills.
  
• The family wants 1 hour sessions 2 times a week between 4pm-8pm on Monday and Friday.
  
• The familywants to meet in-person with the tutor at their home in Vine Grove not far from the Vine Grove Optimist Park.
  

Requirements

REQUIRED

• You have experience teaching/tutoring.
• You are willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles).
• Due to insurance requirements, applicant must not be a minor.
  
• Tutor must be available for 1 hour sessions 2 times a week between 4pm-8pm on Monday and Friday.

PREFERRED

• You have a teaching certification.
  
• $25-$35 per hour
