Matchbook Learning in Indianapolis, IN is hiring one 6th Grade Flex Teacher at Wendell Phillips School 63. This role emphasizes data-driven instructional planning, ELA writing support, and targeted math reinforcement using school-provided tools.

You will reinforce ELA and math skills, track student progress in real time, and collaborate with a team to close achievement gaps while supporting multilingual learners through SIOP-informed practices.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in any field; teaching license preferred
• Willingness to teach outside primary content area—coaching and support provided
• Valid Indiana teaching license OR enrolled in/willing to enroll in a state-approved transition-to-teaching program
• Comfort with data and technology platforms (training provided)
• Genuine growth mindset and openness to coaching and feedback

Responsabilidades

• Deliver ELA writing skill reinforcement using rubrics, writing frameworks, and provided materials—100% curriculum fidelity
• Deliver math skill reinforcement using Envision Math, Practice Buddy, and MathXL
• Analyze platform data regularly to identify skills needing targeting
• Track student skill progression in ELA and math and report results to grade-level teachers
• Participate in weekly/bi-weekly data meetings to align flex instruction with core priorities
• Implement SIOP-aligned strategies to support Multilingual Learners during flex instruction
• Maintain a structured, positive environment using PBIS and restorative practices
• Participate in coaching cycles, professional development, and instructional feedback sessions
• Build relationships with students through conferencing and daily presence
• Communicate with families and contribute to school-wide culture and competency structures
