Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks a College Prep Teacher in Texas to guide students toward college success with rigorous instruction and the IDEA values. The role centers on delivering standards-aligned content and building high expectations for achievement.

You will implement state standards, deliver grade-level curricula, and track progress using weekly lesson plans, assessments, and regular family communications. Strong organization and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• K-12 classroom teaching experience preferred.
• State certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Deliver content and grade level curriculum and core objectives.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track student progress, adjust lesson plans, and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate students’ progress with students and families weekly.
• Facilitate use of technology to support learning and manage tasks.
• Maintain a consistent behavior management system aligned with campus initiatives.
• Contribute to a positive school culture and collaborate with families.
