Job summary

Butz Education Center seeks a Teacher/Coach to provide instruction in core subjects while coaching athletic teams. The role includes distance or in-person delivery, collaboration with staff, and adherence to district policies and UIL rules.

The candidate must hold a Texas teaching certificate with endorsements for the assigned subject, and possess an AED certificate. Experience with IEPs and school bus duties is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements for subject and level assigned.
• AED certificate.
• Texas CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements (can be obtained through FSISD).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum and accommodate student differences.
• Plan instructional strategies and use appropriate activities, materials and tech.
• Assess student learning styles and plan accordingly.
• Coordinate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEP.
• Plan and assign work to instructional aides and volunteers; oversee completion.
• Create virtual learning activities to fulfill district requirements.
• Instruct and supervise student-athletes and ensure UIL compliance.
