Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training.
Knowledge of subjects assigned.
General knowledge of curriculum and instructional best practices for online learning.
Strong knowledge of Internet and web‑related technology.
Ability to instruct students and manage behavior.
Ability to instruct students using a variety of technology applications and platforms.
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to support students with computer set‑up, navigation, and technology issues.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement plans that fulfill the district’s curriculum requirements.
Prepare lessons reflecting accommodations for different learning styles.
Present subject matter according to TEA guidelines and policies.
Plan and use appropriate instructional strategies and technology.
Conduct assessments and use results to plan instruction.
Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula for IEPs.
Plan and supervise assignments for aides and volunteers.
Provide timely feedback to students and track progress.
Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and community.
