Qualifications

• Prefer previous janitorial experience; ability to read, follow, and interpret instructions.
• Ability to work independently and physically perform essential job functions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others and coordinate activities.
• Must possess organizational skills to organize information and materials.
• Exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, temperature extremes and other elements.
• Forklift, basic hand tools (e.g., hammers, wrenches).

Responsibilities

• Maintain shop floor cleanliness and organization.
• Sweep, mop, wax floors and dust surfaces; keep areas free of clutter.
• Empty waste containers and dust collectors; clean and stock restrooms.
• Work flexible hours and overtime when required; perform tasks as directed.
• Construct shop aids and assist 6S initiatives in support of continuous improvement.
• Assist in design of fixtures, shop aids and maintenance of floor coatings.
