Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking a Utility Operator to maintain a world-class level of cleanliness and organization on the shop floor. The role supports LEAN principles (6S) and continuous improvement, performing cleaning, maintenance, and improvement tasks across manufacturing areas.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors and surfaces, stocking restrooms, and assisting with floor coatings and basic welding as needed. Ability to work flexible hours and overtime is required.

Qualifications

• Prefer previous janitorial experience.
• Ability to read, follow, and interpret instructions.
• Ability to work independently and physically perform essential job functions.
• Ability to communicate effectively and coordinate activities with others.
• Must organize information and materials and attend to details.
• Work may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, temperature extremes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain shop floor cleanliness.
• Sweep, mop, wax floors.
• Dust and wash surfaces.
• Keep clutter from work areas; empty waste containers and dust collectors.
• Clean and stock restrooms; flexible hours and overtime when required.
• Perform other tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Construct shop aids to support 6S initiatives.
• Interface with department personnel on continuous improvement efforts.
• Install and maintain floor coatings; basic welding/cutting as assigned.
