Job summary

Hunter Philips is seeking an HV Authorised Person for a long-term contract in the USA's offshore wind sector. You will oversee 66kV systems, perform HV switching, and support installation, commissioning, and energisation activities. The role features 4/4 or flexible rotations with an international team and safety-focused operations.

Applicants must have prior HV Authorised Person experience, current GWO certification, and a strong onshore HV background will be considered.-US citizens only.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an HV Authorised Person.
• Strong practical knowledge of HV switching, isolations and safe systems of work.
• Experience with LOTO, PTW and LOA procedures.
• Current GWO certification.
• Offshore wind experience is preferred but not essential.
• Candidates with a strong onshore HV background will also be considered.
• Applicants must be US citizens.

66kV HV Authorised Person – Long Term Contract – USA – Offshore Wind – Rotational.

I’m working with a major contractor supporting the construction and commissioning of a large scale offshore wind development. The project requires HV Authorised Persons to support the installation, commissioning and energisation of the 66kV offshore electrical systems. Funding has been approved for all positions.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as an HV Authorised Person across the project’s 66kV systems and wind turbine generators.
• Support offshore installation and commissioning activities.
• Carry out HV switching, isolations and LOTO.
• Issue and cancel PTWs, LOAs and associated safety documentation.
• Coordinate activities with the Lead SAPs, control room and commissioning teams.

Contract Details

• Corp to Corp contract.
• Rotational working pattern.
• A 4/4 rotation or flexible rotations of between three and six weeks can be accommodated.
• Working alongside an international team from the USA and Europe.
