Job summary

Select Offshore is seeking experienced Lead Vestas Technicians for long-term US-wide construction and commissioning projects. You’ll lead technician teams on new Vestas turbines, support mechanical completion, commissioning, fault finding and turbine handover through to production.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong electrical and mechanical skills, ability to read schematics, and travel across the United States.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working on Vestas wind turbines.
• Strong knowledge of Vestas procedures and safety requirements.
• Experience leading wind turbine technicians.
• Commissioning, troubleshooting or construction experience.
• Strong electrical and mechanical understanding.
• Ability to read schematics and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead technicians during turbine completion and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate daily work scopes with Vestas site management.
• Allocate tasks and monitor team performance.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings and LOTO activities.
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding.
• Support energisation, commissioning and turbine start-up.
• Read schematics and use SCADA and testing equipment.
• Ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with Vestas procedures.
• Complete technical documentation and report project progress.

The Role

What We’re Looking For
