Job summary

Inteplast Group is seeking General Worker C for production lines, packaging, and handling of materials. Starting wage is $15.00 per hour with possible increases for shift timing and perfect attendance. On-site benefits include paid holidays, on-site clinic two days a week, consistent schedule, and on-the-job training.

High school diploma or equivalent required; previous machine work is preferred. Shifts run 8am–4pm, 4pm–12am, and 12am–8am with rotating days off.

Qualifications

• Education - High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
• Experience - Prefer previous work experience with machines in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Make boxes if required, finish in a timely manner and keep the production line properly supplied.
• Label boxes to help packers keep production flowing.
• Keep color meters filled with proper material and empties color meter properly when changing colors.
• Stacks finished goods properly on pallets, places proper protective wrapping for storage and completes pallet tags.
• Ability to read production schedule.
• Maintains assigned work area and keeps it clean and orderly.
• Able to perform packer job duties in order to help give breaks throughout the shift.
• Follows company safety guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Uses the correct tools for the job i.e. safety knife/protective gloves.
• Wear all the required personal protective equipment; safety shoes, glasses and hearing protection.
• Maintains good attendance to work.
• Assist co-workers when needed.

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Production operators work on production lines to perform tasks related to manufacturing, packaging, and storing products. They operate and maintain machinery and equipment and may also supervise the production process and ensure product quality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hiring for 8am to 4pm, 4pm to 12am, and 12am to 8am shifts with rotating days off.
• Starting at $15.00 per hr. - earn $1 more per hour on 8am to 4pm, $2.00 more per hour on 4pm to 12am and $3.00 more per hour on 12am to 8am with perfect weekly attendance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:

• Ability to work in an environment that is extremely hot, humid in the summer months, and cold in the winter months.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:

• Ability to quickly move your hand, your hands together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, lift, manipulate or assemble objects. (many duties require hand over hand movement) (frequently)
• Ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands.
• Must be able to see in low light conditions, hear, and speak clearly.
• Ability to stand and change positions frequently over an eight-hour period.
• Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects. (Lifting requirements up to and including 50 lbs.) (frequently) Must be able to balance rolls of plastic up to 300 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and or legs. Must be able to reach and lift up to 50 lbs. above shoulders (frequently) reaching above head (occasionally), stooping (occasionally), twisting (occasionally), and bending at waist (occasionally).
• Ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles repeatedly or continuously to lift objects. (frequently)
• Ability to quickly respond (with the hand, finger, or foot) to a signal (sound, light, picture) when it appears.
