Inteplast Group Corporation seeks an Assistant Shift Supervisor to lead a team of production shift operators on plastic processing machines, with duties including adjustments, minor repairs, and ensuring safe, efficient production and high-quality outputs.

The role requires reporting safety and quality issues, strong communication, and the ability to work under pressure while coordinating with maintenance, shipping, and management. On-site position with standard and non-standard hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Understand, follow, and enforce all policies and procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and related activities.
• Operate plastic processing machines and auxiliary equipment safely.
• Perform basic processing to improve efficiency and reduce scrap.
• Ensure all shift operators maintain quality standards.
• Fill in for operators during vacations, breaks, and absences.
• Conduct frequent quality checks against established standards.
• Assist maintenance personnel with mechanical repairs.
• Maintain a clean, safe working area and proper housekeeping.
• Complete and file required shift documentation promptly.
• Communicate with Production, Shipping, Maintenance, and Management.
• Coordinate production line support staff to meet line objectives.
• Verify material usage per standards.
• Notify managers of major problems or questions.
• Communicate processing information to designated personnel on incoming shift.
• Assist in training new Operators.

Position Objective

Responsible for leading a team of production shift operators on plastic processing machines (including in-line equipment). The incumbent will make necessary adjustments or minor repairs to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality Production and ensure all operators perform their primary duties.
