Job summary

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions in partnership with a prominent carpet manufacturer in Glasgow, Virginia is seeking Machine Operators to join their team. They are offering a wide range of perks such as benefits, 401K, vacation and profit sharing!

Machine Operator position pays $18.03 per hour with 2nd or 3rd shift differential. Responsibilities include keeping creel yarn supply, patrolling creel, monitoring quality, working in a team, and participating in quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Be able to bend, stoop, push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for long periods of time
• Background check
• Drug Screen

Responsibilities

• Responsible for keeping the creel yarn supply to meet the assigned yardages.
• Patrol creel and keep yarn running
• Observe the creel, stop the machine should any quality issues such as breakouts, defective packages, small packages, etc.
• Work within a team environment.
• Actively participate in the Quality Improvement Process.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
• Follow all established standard operating procedures
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Perform other tasks assigned by management
