Job summary

The Child Center of NY is seeking an Accountant responsible for labor cost management and Position Control maintenance, acting as liaison between program operations, Human Resources and Finance to ensure accurate labor records.

You will oversee labor distribution reporting, reconcile general ledger and HRIS records, assist with staff allocation changes, support payroll analyses, and maintain journal entries for labor allocations in a nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Two years’ experience in an Accounting position with hands-on knowledge of account analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with different internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent/Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.
  • Accounting experience in a nonprofit environment preferred.
