Qualifications

• Education: Completion of the 12th grade.
• Experience: 1 year water infrastructure/maintenance experience.
• License: Valid California driver’s license throughout employment.
• SWRCB Grade I Water Distribution certificate.
• Certificate of Achievement in operation and maintenance of automatic control valves; must be obtained within 1 year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Respond to leak calls; determine responsibility; locate and repair leaks.
• Coordinate water system maintenance projects with city, county, state, and federal agencies.
• Monitor hydraulics; inspect, service, and replace valves and related parts.
• Read maps, as-builts, schematics, and other technical docs.
• Perform safety checks and maintain logs; operate vehicles and tools.
• Collaborate with team to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
• Disaster Service Worker duties as required.
