Irvine Ranch Water District is seeking two (2) temporary Water Maintenance Technician I for six to twelve months in the Field Services Department in Irvine, CA. Duties include preventive maintenance and repair of potable and recycled water distribution infrastructure, leak response, and coordination with agencies.

Requires a CA driver’s license, SWRCB Grade I cert, and 1 year of related experience.

Qualificações

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year of water infrastructure/facilities maintenance.
• Licenses: Valid CA driver’s license; SWRCB Grade I Water Distribution Operator certificate; Certificate of Achievement for automatic control valves or obtain within 1 year.
• Physical: ability to perform field work and lift 50–90 pounds as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Respond to leaks, determine responsible party, identify water loss points.
• Coordinate water system maintenance projects with city, county, state, and US agencies.
• Monitor flow; adjust hydraulic control valves and inspect/replace parts as needed.
• Read as-builts, maps, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Ensure safety, maintain logs, and document work performed.
