Job summary

This role involves preparing components for molding and operating a molding press on our epoxy line to ensure high quality parts. You will load, start, monitor, and unload molds, inspect parts, and perform de-flashing and patching as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be detail oriented and organized.
• Ability to operate small handheld tools on a regular basis.
• Must visually inspect machined parts and gauge with hand-held gauges.
• Willingness to work overtime and Friday overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare components for molding.
• Load and unload components into the mold.
• Start and monitor the molding cycle and record production data.
• Inspect, de-flash, and patch molded parts for quality.
• Pack and identify completed parts for shipment or storage.
• Maintain orderly work area and adhere to safety rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Keep up with production paperwork (work orders).

Summary

Responsible for preparing components for the molding process, running a molding press on our epoxy molding production line, and ensuring the highest level of quality of all parts produced.

Essential Functions

• Keep up with production paperwork (work orders)
• Prepare components for molding.
• Inspect components prior to molding.
• Load multiple components into the mold.
• Start and monitor the molding cycle.
• Unload parts from the mold when molding is complete.
• Inspect, de-flash, and patch the molded parts.
• Pack and identify completed parts.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Attention to detail and organizational skills needed.
• Must be able to operate small handheld tools on a regular basis.
• Must be able to visually inspect machined parts as well as gauge them utilizing several types of hand-held gauges.
• Must be available to work overtime hours on a shift or mandatory Friday overtime.

Physical Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be able to lift as much as 50 lbs. several times a day.
• Must be able to stand for the vast majority of the shift.
• Must be able to perform manual work in a non-climate-controlled factory setting.
