Job summary

The H-J Family of Companies in High Ridge, Missouri is seeking a warehouse associate to move, store, and ship materials. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, stage inventory, and ensure safety and accuracy in daily operations.

This role offers 4x10-hour shifts, overtime potential, and a comprehensive benefits package. High school diploma or better required; growth opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or better.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs multiple times daily.
• Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred.
• Must stand for the majority of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Move materials and products using forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Maintain safe operation of equipment and adherence to safety features.
• Stage, store, and organize inventory according to production and shipping needs.
• Document movements and receipts in the transfer system.
• Monitor and count inventory; support packing and shipping processes.
• Prepare containers and crating and label shipping information.

Summary: Responsible for handling, moving, and storage of materials and product.

Essential Functions

• Provide assistance to the department in the day-today operation of moving materials
• Ensure all safety features on the equipment are working properly
• Stage and segregate product in designated areas; adjusting storage areas according to production and shipping requirements
• Timely notification and delivery of receipts to designated personnel
• Use moving equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks to safely and efficient move inventory around the warehouse.
• Document movement of materials through a transfer system
• Complete daily preventive maintenance checklist on assigned lifts
• Monitor inventory by completing counts as required
• Package inventory for safe shipping
• Assemble containers and crates, packs goods to be shipped and prepares identifying information and shipping instructions
• Take inventory, maintains storage area, organizes and places stock on shelves. Ensure area is secure at all times.
• Share ideas, improvements and recommendations for continuous improvement to help optimize results to improve safety and quality.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be able to lift as much as 50 lbs. several times a day.
• Forklift and pallet jack experience strongly preferred.
• Must be able to stand for the vast majority of the shift.
• Willingness to work overtime to complete any duties as assigned.
• This is manual work requiring frequent sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and walking.

* Weekend shift works 36 hours, paid for 40 hours. No overtime available.
