Qualifications

Professional Educator License or Substitute Teaching License issued by the ISBE.
Strong communication skills (written and oral).
Prefer previous substitute experience at Rantoul City Schools.

Responsibilities

Fill long term substitute teaching needs including lesson planning and assessing progress.
Attend parent teacher conferences, trainings, and meetings as needed.
Communicate with parents as needed after consulting with administration.
Supervises students in various school settings.
Follow lesson plans or create plans using available resources.
Establish positive learning expectations for all students.
Maintain accurate student attendance records.
Adjust instruction to meet student needs and collaborate with staff.
Manage classroom organization and end-of-day routines.
Provide daily communication to the teacher at day’s end.
