Qualifications

• ISBE Educator License or Substitute Teaching License (ISBE).
• Strong communication skills (written and oral).
• Prefer prior substitute experience at Rantoul City Schools.

Responsibilities

• Fill long-term substitute teaching needs, including lesson planning with guidance from administration and teachers, and assess student progress.
• Attend parent-teacher conferences, trainings, and meetings as needed.
• Communicate with parents after consulting with administration regarding academic or behavioral updates.
• Supervise students in various school settings.
• Follow lesson plans or adapt using available resources to support instruction.
• Establish positive learning expectations for all students.
• Maintain accurate attendance records.
• Contribute to classroom organization and end-of-day cleanup.
• Provide daily reports or feedback to the teacher and administration.
• Adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs and collaborate with staff and guardians.
