Job summary

Pioneer Motor Bearing Company seeks a skilled 5-Axis Set Up Machinist to set up CNC tools and offsets for producing fluid film bearings, seals, and defense-related parts. Journeyman-level capability plus a diverse toolset is preferred.

The candidate will read complex drawings, use Dial calipers and micrometers, and edit CNC programs to optimize run times while ensuring quality. Strong communication and safety focus are essential in our heavy-industry environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in 5-axis machine tool setup and operation.
• Technical degree or 5 years related experience, or equivalent combination.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and specs.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC tools with correct tooling and offsets to manufacture and repair bearings and related parts.
• Use precision measuring instruments to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Read and interpret complex drawings and route sheets; edit programs as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and report production issues promptly.
