Divergent in Los Angeles seeks a skilled CNC Programmer to drive the machining workflow for automotive, aerospace, and defense programs. You will develop, simulate, and optimize 3+2 and 5-axis milling programs using Siemens NX CAM, create probing routines, and generate comprehensive shop documentation.

You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing, apply GD&T to programs, and support additive manufacturing initiatives on demanding parts.

Qualifikationen

• Proficiency in CNC programming, setup, and machining with a focus on 5-axis milling.
• Experience programming and operating CNC equipment and using dynamic work offsets.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, tools, and tooling best practices.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles.
• Familiarity with machine shop safety protocols and best practices.

Aufgaben

• Analyze new parts and develop machining strategies, tooling approaches, and work-holding concepts.
• Use Siemens NX CAM to develop, verify, and simulate 3+2 and 5-axis milling programs.
• Produce probing programs using MSP Perfect-Part for locating and verification.
• Program trunnion and gantry-style CNC machines, including advanced 5-axis operations.
• Create setup sheets, operator instructions, and tool lists for seamless production handoffs.
• Collaborate with engineering to apply DFM recommendations during development.
