Job summary

Hanwha Aerospace USA seeks a seasoned 5 Axis CNC Programmer to join our Engineering team in Connecticut. You will plan and optimize numerical control programs for contour path machining on automatic machines using CAD/CAM software, focusing on process improvement and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a strong shop floor background, at least 5 years in CNC programming, reads blueprints, selects tools, sets speeds/feeds, and helps implement corrective actions to meet delivery dates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• High School Diploma or GED considered with relevant experience.
• 5+ years of CNC programming experience required.

Responsibilities

• Operate advanced CNC machinery and analyze drawings to determine tool selection, speeds and feeds.
• Create and revise CNC programs; prepare instruction sheets and cutter setups.
• Improve processes and meet delivery dates by implementing corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Read blueprints and operation sheets, and interpret inspection reports.
• Assist in program development by running machines to debug code.
• Maintain 5S and safety guidelines on the shop floor.
