Job summary

CACI is seeking a skilled Machinist for the NSWCCD Model Shop in Bethesda, MD. You will model components on CNC and manual mills and lathes, program and run 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines, and hand-finish parts as needed. You will read CAD/CAM drawings with GD&T, collaborate with engineers, and advise on fabrication risks to ensure quality prototypes for R&D tests.

Minimum clearance required is Secret. A High School Diploma or GED and 3–5 years of CNC experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of CNC milling and lathe setup, programming, and operation.
• Experience in machining aluminum, stainless steel, and other materials.

Responsibilities

• Machine model components using CNC and manual mills and lathes.
• Program, setup, and operate 3-, 4-, or 5-axis CNC machines.
• Read CAD/CAM drawings and GD&T; advise on fabrication risks.
