Job summary

RTX is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to support a fast-paced rapid response and prototype environment in McKinney, TX. The role focuses on precision parts using multi-axis mills and lathes, with opportunities to work on both production components and prototypes.

The candidate will program CNC machines, develop fixtures, and ensure parts conform to engineering drawings and GD&T specifications. On-site team in a dynamic shop setting.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) with related technical training or education.
• Experience setting up/operating CNC machining centers (vertical/horizontal mills, lathes, jig bores, and/or trunnions).
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and applying GD&T concepts.
• Experience with CNC programming.
• U.S. Citizen for access to program/contract information.

Responsibilities

• Produce precision, high-complexity parts using mills, lathes, jig bores, and trunnions.
• Work on production components and prototype development.
• Program CNC machines using GibbsCAM.
• Develop machining strategies and fixtures.
• Execute machining on 3‑, 4‑, and 5‑axis equipment.
• Verify parts meet models and drawings.
