Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a CNC Machinist (Falcon) to set up and operate multi-axis CNC mills up to five axes, inspect parts, and perform machining from blueprints and verbal instructions. The role requires reading blueprints and GD&T, and working with tight tolerance parts across various materials.

Responsibilities include ensuring productivity, communicating production status to shop leadership, and contributing to process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 3+ years of experience in set up, operation and/or programming of CNC mill.
• Experience working with multi-axis CNC mills and tight tolerance parts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multi-axis CNC Mills up to 5-axis.
• Inspect parts using hand tools to verify dimensions.
• Complete machining operations from blueprints, drawings and/or verbal instructions.
• Work with complex, tight tolerance parts and various materials.
• Meet expectations for productivity.
• Communicate with shop leadership when production is inhibited.
• Continuously provide feedback for process improvements.
