Job summary

Applied Composites is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate CNC machines and use existing programming to produce tools & parts to dimensional requirements. The ideal candidate will have several years of CNC operating experience with some exposure to programming and the ability to work under indirect supervision.

The role involves operating a 5-axis CNC machine, running programs to meet tolerances, and collaborating with engineering and production to solve problems, while performing preventative

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of CNC experience.
• Some exposure to CNC programming.
• Ability to work with composite materials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 5-axis CNC machine
• Run CNC programs to produce tools & parts to dimensional/tolerance requirements
• Participate in brainstorming / problem solving with Engineering & Production personnel to solve related problems
• Perform preventative maintenance to equipment
• Recommend new technologies for continuous improvement
• Follow Standard Industrial practices for working with composites & other materials.
• Other responsibilities as assigned
