Job summary

Applied Composites seeks a CNC Machinist for the 2nd shift to operate a 5-axis CNC machine and follow existing programs to manufacture tools and parts to precise dimensions. The candidate should have several years of CNC operating experience and some exposure to programming.

As part of a team, you will work with Engineering and Production to troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and explore new technologies for continuous improvement while meeting dimensional tolerances.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary certificate or high school diploma or equivalent.
• Years’ Experience: 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Skills: CNC programming experience and ability to work with various gauges.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 5-axis CNC machine.
• Run CNC programs to produce tools and parts to tolerance.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to solve problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Suggest technologies for continuous improvement.
• Follow standards for working with composites and materials.
• Overtime on 2nd shift as needed.
