CACI is seeking a Machinist-5 Axis CNC in Bethesda, MD to support NSWCCD Model Shop, fabricating prototype naval component scale models for R&D testing. You will program, setup, and operate 3-, 4-, or 5-axis CNC machines and hand-finish parts while collaborating with design engineers.

Required: high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years CNC experience, ability to read drawings and GD&T, and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years’ CNC milling/lathe experience.
• Experience with aluminum, stainless steel or similar metals.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints.
• Must be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Responsabilidades

• Machine model components using CNC and manual mills/lathes.
• Program, setup, and operate 3-, 4-, or 5-axis CNC machines.
• Hand-finish parts with contouring and polishing as needed.
• Collaborate with design engineers and advise on fabrication methods.
• Read CAD/CAM drawings and apply GD&T tolerancing.
