Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company (EBAD) seeks a qualified CNC Machinist in Simsbury, CT, reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor. The role involves fabricating precision parts on CNC and manual mills and lathes to meet production and quality standards.

The position requires setting up tools, running first article pieces, and verifying dimensions with precision instruments while using appropriate feeds, speeds, and cutting conditions on multiple machines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC operation with setup experience.
• Experience running 5-axis machinery.
• General knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading and inspection tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must meet ITAR and BATFE background requirements.

Responsibilities

• Complete tool, fixture, and material setup on CNC mill and lathe.
• Run first piece articles and prepare for inspection.
• Verify parts using precision measuring equipment.
• Change tools and offsets based on cutting conditions.
• Follow proper methodology and cutting tools to produce quality parts.
• Use correct feed, speed, and cutting parameters for various materials.
• Perform other related duties as required.
