Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company (EBAD) in Moorpark, CA, is seeking a qualified Manual Machinist for 1st or 2nd shift. The role involves fabricating precision parts using manual mills and lathes per work orders, routers, and blueprints.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience setting up and running manual mills and lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• CNC experience a plus.
• Experience machining aerospace materials (titanium, stainless, aluminum).
• Read/write technical instructions and communicate with engineering.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual mills and lathes per work orders and blueprints.
• Create fixtures and tooling as needed for machining.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment and GD&T.
• Adjust tooling, feeds, speeds, and offsets for CNC when applicable.
• Troubleshoot production issues on the shop floor.
• Deburr and finish machined parts.
