Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company in Moorpark, CA, seeks a CNC Swiss Machinist to fabricate precision parts on Swiss-style CNC centers. You will read blueprints, set up tools, run first article inspections, and adjust feeds and speeds for aluminum, steel, and titanium parts. Requires 3+ years CNC operation and 1+ year Swiss experience.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in CNC operation with setup.
• Minimum 1 year experience operating a Swiss style machining center.
• Experience with Citizen A20, L20 or M32 machines is a plus.
• ESPRIT programming software experience is a plus.
• General knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading and inspection tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Complete tool, fixture, and material setup on CNC Swiss style machine.
• Running first piece article ready for inspection.
• Verifying parts by using precision measuring equipment.
• Changing tools and offsets based on cutting conditions.
• Using proper feeds, speeds, and other cutting parameters for various materials.
• Revising programs as needed based on engineering or production changes.
• Troubleshooting on CNC programming and production issues on the shop floor.
