Job summary

The HEICO Companies, LLC in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to produce precision machined components and brazed chassis assemblies for aerospace and defense. You will collaborate with CNC programmers, inspectors, and production staff to run existing programs and support new product introductions while maintaining customer quality requirements.

Responsibilities include setting up machines, proving out programs, performing in-process inspection, and maintaining 5S standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years CNC setup experience.
• Minimum 3 years manufacturing experience.
• Mandatory 4th axis machining experience.
• Prototyping and first piece development with programs experience a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set up, prove out new programs, and operate CNC equipment including vertical, horizontal and 5-axis milling.
• Collaborate with CNC programming for development of CNC processes on the floor.
• Troubleshoot tool, offset, program, and fixturing issues across CNC equipment.
• Load parts into machine workholding and perform tool changes for setup.
• Perform in-process inspection using micrometers, calipers, height gauges and gauges.
• Interpret and verify CMM data to modify processes for compliance.
• Maintain multiple CNC machining centers and adjust offsets as needed.
• Train and support other employees in CNC tasks.
• Perform minor maintenance like coolant and vacuum systems upkeep.
