Job summary

TTM Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Production Operator for the 4th shift in Stafford, CT. You will work in a high-production environment performing routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repairs to keep production lines running.

Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and safety-conscious mindset are essential. Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is preferred. This role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 pounds, and overtime/weekend

Qualifications

• Technical aptitude and ability to safely use basic hand tools
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain control circuits, electrical components, and mechanical equipment
• Strong attention to detail and capable of reading and following technical instructions, operation manuals, schematics, and diagrams
• General computer skills and ability to complete electronic work orders, enter data into systems, and send emails
• Able to stand throughout a shift, lift 40-pounds, work within confined spaces, and perform work in a crouched or overhead posture
• Able to read, write, and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends is required
• Maintenance technicians must be able to supply their own set of basic hand tools needed to perform the job

Responsibilities

• Observes mechanical machinery, equipment, and devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble
• Examines and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments, repairs or replaces defective parts
• Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses the malfunction with the Maintenance Manager and staff
• Lubricates and cleans parts and/or installs new or repaired parts when required
• Installs or repairs basic electrical apparatus and starts devices to test performance
• Assists in installation of feeders, branch circuit wiring and conduit for new machines
• Troubleshoots malfunctioning apparatus and replaces faulty electrical components
• Diagnoses and replaces faulty hydraulic and pneumatic components
• Completes maintenance requests and PM documentation; communicates status to supervisor
• Participates in ongoing training and knowledge sharing
• Follows safety policies and procedures
