Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking an experienced teacher for IDEA Academy to ensure every student masters academics and social skills to succeed in college. You will set ambitious goals, plan rigorous instruction, assess mastery, and monitor progress weekly.

Candidates should hold a teaching certification and a Bachelor's degree, with K-12 classroom experience strongly preferred. Role requires commitment to IDEA values, collaboration with families, and dedication to providing high-quality

Qualifications

• Certification or credential indicating readiness to teach in a K-12 setting.
• Education: bachelor’s degree; TEA-aligned requirements or equivalent.
• Experience in a K-12 classroom is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Administer formal and informal assessments to track progress and adjust plans accordingly.
• Communicate students’ progress with families on a weekly basis.
• Facilitate technology use to enhance learning and manage tasks.
• Establish and maintain a behavior management system aligned to campus initiatives.
