Job summary

Boys & Girls Club of Manchester is seeking a Grade 4-5 Director to oversee the after-school program for 4th-5th grade members at the Union Street Clubhouse in Manchester, NH. You will plan age-appropriate activities, supervise staff, and ensure a safe, engaging environment aligned with our youth-development approach.

Responsibilities include tracking outcomes, managing staff schedules, budgeting, and reporting progress to families and leadership.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Background and drug screenings required.
• CDL-B license with passenger endorsement required (training and fees provided).
• Active auto insurance with minimum liability coverage.
• Ability to manage program expenses and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of an age-appropriate program for 4th-5th grade members and provide direct service.
• Track program outcomes including academic progress, attendance, and physical activity participation.
• Foster a positive youth development environment and recognize member efforts.
• Coordinate with Director of Behavioral & Family Services for additional support.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate part-time program staff.
• Develop staff schedules and ensure performance expectations are met.
• Assist with budgeting and monitoring expenditures within guidelines.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized program areas; report maintenance needs.
• Promote programs through schedules, announcements, and marketing materials.
• Manage administrative functions and collect participation statistics.
• Meet with parents as needed to discuss progress.
