Job summary

Alstom is offering a 4-month Continuous Improvement internship at its Plattsburgh site to support Lean transformation and APSYS deployment.

You will work with site leadership and cross-functional teams on process mapping, data analysis, and identifying opportunities for improvement, contributing to safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements.

Ideal for students in engineering or related fields who want hands-on experience in Lean and operations within a global leader in sustainable mobility.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Interest in Continuous Improvement and Lean.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Clear communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support APSYS deployment activities across the site.
• Assist with continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
• Participate in process mapping, data collection, and performance analysis.
• Help identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
• Contribute to improvement projects focused on Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People (SQCDP).
