Job summary

Jefferson Parish Schools’ Haynes Academy for Advanced Studies in Metairie, LA is seeking a Custodial Helper for a 4-hour daily shift. You will help maintain safety, cleanliness, and appearance of the school facilities across classrooms and common areas.

Starting immediately, you will follow the cleaning schedule, assist the plant manager, and adapt to all weather conditions; overtime may be required occasionally.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write and comprehend instructions on operation of equipment and on the use of chemicals used in cleaning operation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of halls and entrances.
• Cleans walls and windows.
• Check dressing rooms.
• Cleans classroom units as specified in accordance with working schedule and minimum cleaning schedule specific school needs.
• Be responsive to coordinator, plant manager and/or assistant custodian where appropriate.
• Perform all other duties as required by the plant manager or Coordinator of Maintenance & Custodial Services.
