Job summary

Utah State University seeks a part-time 4-H Mentoring Site Coordinator in Roosevelt, UT. You will recruit and train teen mentors, match them with youth, and oversee meaningful mentoring experiences and family engagement activities.

You’ll monitor relationships, plan monthly events and Family Night Out activities, and lead a weekly 4-H Afterschool Club with educational programming for youth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with youth in educational, mentoring, recreational, or community-based settings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to listen actively and convey information effectively.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and engage 20 to 25 youth participants from each elementary school site.
• Recruit, screen, train, and support up to eight teen volunteer mentors.
• Create and facilitate mentoring groups by matching youth participants with trained teen mentors.
• Monitor mentoring relationships to ensure positive engagement and program success.
• Assist in planning and implementing monthly Family Night Out events and group mentoring activities.
• Lead a weekly 4-H Afterschool Club, delivering educational and enrichment programming for youth.
