Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Youth Development, Family and Consumer Science, or closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Establish and maintain permanent residence in Clay County or nearby Mississippi county within six months of employment.
  • Successful completion of criminal background screen.
  • Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate education programs supporting positive youth development in Clay County.
  • Lead the local 4-H program and support clubs, camps, afterschool initiatives, contests, and special projects.
  • Identify, recruit, and train local volunteers; ensure safety policies for programs with minors.
  • Collaborate with County Extension Coordinator and regional staff to deliver responsive programming.
  • Participate in county data collection and annual accountability reporting; engage with stakeholders.
