4-H Environmental Educator – Rock Eagle

Duties/Responsibilities are outlined below:

• Independently lead, teach, and manage K‑12 grade students and chaperone adults through multidisciplinary classes in an outdoor setting. Class subjects include ecology, team building, life history, and outdoor skills. (70%)
• Provide general support of overall center operations, including maintenance and upkeep of facilities (cabins, classrooms, educational materials, vehicles), operating UGA vehicles, dining hall and canteen support, and projects as needed. (15%)
• Perform animal care husbandry and maintenance for residential educational reptiles, amphibians, aquatic tanks, raptors, chickens, small mammals, and more. (10%)
• Lead staff responsibilities to support on‑going reservations and guests. (5%)
