Job summary

Beacon EmbeddedWorks is seeking a hands-on Shift Supervisor to lead the second shift in our Minnesota manufacturing facility. You will oversee Production Associates, ensure quality, safety and output meet customer expectations, and train and motivate the team across multiple processes, including SMT and testing as needed.

The role requires 2–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, familiarity with ERP systems and Lean practices, and strong communication in English.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of supervisory experience in manufacturing environment
• Fundamental knowledge of ERP systems
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of the electronics manufacturing
• High proficiency with Microsoft PC based (Outlook, Excel, Word) software
• Excellent communication skills. Fluent in English; written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates the activities of employees engaged in production of printed circuit assemblies.
• Supervises associates and technicians in a shift, such as setup/operation of SMT, wave soldering, inspection and test cells.
• Reviews schedules and production orders to determine staffing and equipment requirements and assigns duties.
• Monitors production quality and safety, and ensures adherence to Beacon's quality system.
• Plans work schedules and coordinates with other team leaders to meet production goals.
• Monitors attendance, conducts performance appraisals and supports employee development.
• Performs required duties across SMT or Test as needed and provides input for rewards and disciplinary actions.
