Job summary

Clean Harbors, Grantsville, UT is seeking an Instrumentation/Electrical Technician to diagnose instrument and control issues, calibrate sensors, and maintain electrical systems on a four‑day day shift. You’ll install control systems, run cabling and MCCs, service motors and lighting, and log maintenance actions to keep operations safe and compliant.

The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, formal instrumentation/electrical training, and readiness for rotating shifts with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5+ years in oil, refinery, chemical, or steel mill settings preferred.
• Formal training or a degree in instrumentation and/or electrical preferred.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing mechanical issues.
• Willingness to work a rotating shift and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot instrument and control issues to root cause.
• Perform preventive maintenance and instrument calibrations.
• Create and maintain logs and records.
• Install new control systems and related power wiring.
• Install cabling, power distribution systems, and MCCs (Motor Control Centers).
• Service and replace motors and lighting.
• Perform general electrical maintenance across the facility.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned.
