Job summary

Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure Plc is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Technician for a 12-hour rotating shift in a power plant environment. You will repair and maintain instrumentation, control valves, motors, and switchgear, following safety policies and procedures.

The role requires reading electrical schematics and P&ID drawings, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating with the I&E Supervisor. Valid driver's license and industrial I&C experience are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 5+ years direct work experience as an I&C technician in an industrial environment.
• Must possess a valid driver license.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and loop drawings; interpret P&ID diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and performs corrective action on process control instrumentation and control valves.
• Calibrates electronic and pneumatic pressure transmitters and controllers.
• Repairs or replaces thermocouples or RTD temperature elements.
• Installs stainless steel instrumentation tubing.
• Troubleshoots and performs corrective action on electrical motors and plant electrical equipment and switchgear.
• Records work orders and material requisitions accurately.
• Performs tasks per I&E Supervisor directions and safety policies.
• Works rotating 12-hour shifts with on-duty meals/breaks.
