American Electric Power (AEP) seeks a field level electrician responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical transmission and distribution facilities. Role involves driving line trucks and operating related equipment, with overtime, weekends, and travel as required.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, two years of line work experience, and a valid CDL A license. Candidates must be able to climb, work at heights, and communicate professionally with customers

Competenze

• Must have at least a High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of electrical line work experience preferred.
• Valid CDL A state driver’s license required.
• Ability to climb and work at heights and communicate effectively.

Mansioni

• Opens and closes switches and installs grounding devices to lines and equipment.
• Climbs poles and/or rides in a bucket to install or repair wires and hardware.
• Installs and repairs underground facilities such as cables, transformers, pedestals and related components.
• Operates pole hardware and auxiliary equipment such as transformers, arresters, switches, fuses and insulators.
