AEP's Tipton, OK location is seeking a Lineman Apprentice 1st year to assist in installation, maintenance, and inspection of electrical transmission and distribution facilities. You will drive line trucks and operate equipment, climb poles or ride bucket to install or repair lines, with emphasis on safety and adherence to procedures.

No prior experience required; High School/GED required; possession or ability to obtain a CDL within six months; overtime and travel may be required; 40 hours plus

Qualifikationen

• High School Education or GED required.
• No prior experience required; line work experience or line school education preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid CDL license within six months.

Aufgaben

• Open/close switches and install grounding devices to lines and equipment.
• Climb poles or use bucket to install or repair wires and hardware.
• Install and repair underground facilities (cables, transformers, pedestals).
• Operate insulated poles and tools to perform energized line work up to 138 kV.
• Work overtime and travel as required; maintain safety and compliance.
