Job summary

BGF Industries is seeking a dependable Production Support Operator to assist the warping process by supplying yarn to equipment, splicing ends, and inspecting quality. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficient handling of materials to keep production running smoothly.

The successful candidate will work on the 3rd shift (12:00 AM - 8:00 AM), stand for long periods, and perform duties such as weighing and preparing yarn, maintaining records, and following all procedures.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing, production, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow work instructions and production requirements.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to distinguish yarn quality concerns and identify defects.
• Corrected vision of at least 20/40.

Responsibilities

• Load and replace yarn packages on warping equipment.
• Remove empty yarn packages and install new supply packages.
• Splice yarn ends using approved methods and equipment.
• Inspect yarn for broken filaments, contamination, and other quality concerns.
• Weigh, sort, and prepare yarn packages according to production requirements.
• Monitor yarn inventory and return unused material to designated storage areas.
• Change tension wraps, weights, and creel adapters as instructed.
• Remove waste yarn from tubes and prepare materials for reuse or disposal.
• Maintain production records and support quality tracking activities as required.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
