Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. is seeking a Winder Operator for the Glasgow, VA facility on the 3rd shift. The role includes checking and sorting return yarn, rewinding on Gilbos and Backwinder, loading tubes, winding packages, doffing full packages, and keeping the work area clean.

Responsibilities

• Check and sort all return yarn from Tufting.
• Rewind yarn on Gilbos and Backwinder.
• Place empty tube on winder.
• Wind packages, sent from winder assistant, onto tube.
• Doff full packages and place in yarn box for Tufting.
• Fan off winder.
• Aspirate all skinners ½ inches or less.
• Inspect, sort, and dispose of damaged tubes.
• Attend any job‑related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
