Job summary

Atlas Copco is seeking a skilled Welder to support our Voorheesville facility. You will perform TIG and MIG welding on carbon steel and stainless-steel components used in compressor package assembly, and fabricate/fabricate brackets, pipes, and base assemblies per engineering drawings.

You will inspect welds for quality, use measuring devices, and work on second shift (3:00 PM–1:30 AM) onsite at our advanced manufacturing site.

Qualifications

• Certification in Welding is required.
• At least 1 year of welder experience.
• Experience with pipe fitting and fabrication in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG and MIG welding on carbon steel and stainless-steel components used in compressor package assembly.
• Fabricate and fit pipes, brackets, base assemblies, and other components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Inspect finished welds and assemblies to ensure quality, structural, and dimensional requirements.
• Use welding equipment, measuring devices, hand tools, and fabrication equipment to support daily production activities.
